We know this can be a stressful time. You've been told you need an ignition interlock device and you're not sure where to start. Schweitzer's Automotive is here to help guide you through the process.

You're first step will be to determine which company you will be choosing as your "monitoring authority" and from whom you will lease the ignition interlock device equipment. Schweitzer's Automotive currently works with Intoxalock and Alcohol Detection Systems (ADS). Links to both of these companies are listed below. For a complete list of companies authorized by the State of Oregon, please visit the Oregon State Police's Ignition Interlock Device Program website link below. 

Once you have established which company you will be using, they will work with you to schedule an installation appointment with us. These appointments are typically made 2 to 5 business days in advance so please do not wait until the last minute! The equipment will be shipped directly to our service center to be installed on the day of the appointment. 

On the day of your appointment you will receive training on how to use the device along with all the do's and don'ts to help make your ignition interlock device journey successful. We are always here to help answer your questions or guide you in the right direction!
